It was an early morning start for this wedding day, and the early Sun was up to the job, letting us all have the first real feeling of Spring warmth. A really friendly, engaging and busy couple, having spent a fair bit of time on their careers and family it was now their turn to get married to each other. Nic add a few very special extra’s , from his and hers initials on his cuff, and personalised cuff-links. The Grooms jacket has the wedding date embroidered aswell as the South African flag especially for the bride who originates from down south. Before this photographing particular wedding I had not had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Kensington and Chelsea Register office in London and I was pleasantly surprised at how this particular register office is nicely presented and quite a presentable venue for a wedding. We were in the Brydon Room for the ceremony, and it really does maintain classic impression. A brief ceremony and soon we were on the way to the reception, with the guests whisked along in a classic Routemaster Bus, although I guess whisked is perhaps a rather generous term. A very pleasant and speedy trip in the old London bus and all the guests we dropped off at for lunch. The Cheyne Walk Brasserie is great little venue, with friendly staff, simple yet tasteful décor and absolutely brilliant food. So it is no surprise the guests were enjoying themselves so much with so much laughter and tears aplenty. Thanks must go out to to JP Smit of Smitten Photography for the chance to second for him.

I was probably about 10 when I got my first camera, all I truly remember is how I loved taking pictures of absolutely everything. It was only when we suffered from a tragic incident in our lives that had a hard look back at my life. As my family and me worked through the tragedy I realised that I needed to be make a change. I have since found that old love of photography and taking photos of absolutely everything. In creating these images I find a calling worth doing. Now I spend each day with various people helping them create photo's of their special moments and of absolutely everything.
